Volunteers for the Elderly in Need (VEIN), is a non profit organization established in Kenya in 2018 with a primary goal of connecting individuals and organizations to help communities to tackle the challenge of caring for the elderly in our societies to live a life of dignity, independence and Joy.
VEIN is a volunteer driven organization that unite Kenyans from different backgrounds and experiences working as one to care for those once cared for us.
As volunteers, we help in activities such as delivering meals to the home-bound elderly, escorting and transporting frail older persons to health care services ,Doing essential shopping errands and to other needed services, Visiting homebound elderly to help ensure their well-being through regular social contacts.
Counseling older persons in a variety of areas including health promotion, nutrition, legal and financial concerns, Make home modifications so that I can safely stay in my current home and serving as a long-term care ombudsman representative to help ensure the safety and well-being of residents in long-term care facilities.
